Welcome toMr. Ariza's Webpage

Dear Parent/Guardian/Caregiver:

            First and foremost, we would like to welcome you and your child to Washington Irving High School YABC.  Our heritage shows that we strive for excellence within our school environment and in the community.  We know how eager your child may be in the next couple of months leading up to the start of a new school year 2009-2010.

            Let me introduce myself.  My name is Harlingtton Ariza, and I am the Parent Coordinator.  I was educated at Washington Irving H.S. and returned to work in 2004 as a school aide.  I recently became the Parent Coordinator, and I have all the energy and passion to serve you and your child.

            My role as the Parent Coordinator is to help parents and caregivers of Washington Irving students feel welcome in the school by bridging the gap between parents, teachers, and school staff.  I look forward to meeting with many of you in the next few months to share your concerns and comments.  I hope I can provide you with all the resources you need in a relaxed, efficient meeting place, complete with a computer, phone and fax, all for your immediate needs.

            Please take the time to stop by our Parent Resource Center located in room 110.  Meet with me and many of the faculty and take a tour of our facility.  Attached please find our PA, SLT, and Executive Board meeting calendar for the new school year 2009-2010 as well as a listing of parent opportunities.

On behalf of our school executive principal, Bernando Ascona, the YABC administrator and A.P., Roger Bradley and the entire staff of WIHS YABC, we look forward to a productive and meaningful school year for both you and your child.

Sincerely;

Harlingtton Ariza

Parent Coordinator
